TAC attendant care provides practical assistance with everyday activities for people recovering from transport accident injuries. Depending on your approved supports, attendant care may include assistance with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, community access, rehabilitation activities and other daily tasks that promote independence and recovery. CareChoice tailors every attendant care program to the individual’s goals, clinical needs and rehabilitation plan.
TAC-funded services are typically recommended by your doctor or treating team and must be approved before they begin.
Accessing TAC-funded support is straightforward:
Referrals to a TAC provider can come from a range of healthcare professionals and support people involved in your recovery.
TAC encourages clients to select a provider that best fits their needs, ensuring a strong match for quality care and recovery outcomes.
Your attendant care provider must be registered with the TAC before they can provide attendant care services. This means a provider’s policies and work practices have met the TAC’s high standards. The TAC monitors attendant care providers to make sure that these standards are maintained.
